Pangaea awarded web-based data upload platform project from CMAP

Pangaea Information Technologies, Ltd. was recently awarded a contract from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to develop a web based user interface (UI) to CMAP’s MetroPulse Partnership Platform.  The UI will enhance the MetroPulse regional data portal by allowing authorized CMAP partners to upload data files, enter metadata associated with those files, and preview sample data visualizations of the uploaded data. The project is designed to allow rapid imports of data relevant for planning, development and governance activities within the currently selected community.  The data includes transportation, commerce, employment, education and municipal information.

About CMAP

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is the official regional planning organization for the northeastern Illinois counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will. CMAP developed and now leads the implementation of GO TO 2040, metropolitan Chicago’s first comprehensive regional plan in more than 100 years. To address anticipated population growth of more than 2 million new residents, GO TO 2040 establishes coordinated strategies that help the region’s 284 communities address transportation, housing, economic development, open space, the environment, and other quality-of-life issues.
